Artist’s Statement: I started out simply wanting to record the sensations of my experience in paint. I’ve since discovered that experience is the circus of the fantastical.
We are so excited about our holiday show in conjunction with the Winter Art Walk!
The featured artist is Peter Moore from Polebridge Townsite in Montana. Moore has been painting vibrant detailed landscapes and wildlife for 45 years off the grid, at his hand built cabin on his family homestead on the edge of Glacier National Park.
Join us for refreshments during this celebration of art! Sponsored by Emerson Grill and Ecce Gallery.
Wilderness Art Salon in the Ecce Fine Art Gallery
The Ecce Gallery, located inside the Emerson Cultural Center, is hosting an arts salon that will celebrate the wilderness of Montana and the Rocky Mountain West. The event will be held on “Earth Day” Friday, April 22 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. This evening will be an intimate exploration of various Western artists whose work is inspired by the west’s diverse and untamed landscape. Featured art includes paintings by Donna Gans and Craig Muderlak, photographs by Rob Outlaw, and sculpture by Bob Newhall with Ona Magaro. A group of renown authors will share their readings including Glen Chamberlain, Steve Kirchoff, Dick Dorworth and Amber Jean. Appetizers and beverages will be provided by The Emerson Grill.
Ten percent of all art sales will benefit local wilderness foundations.
The Ecce Gallery, owned by Robin Chopus, represents a rotating cast of unique and eclectic artwork. The space also doubles as a private dining room for The Emerson Grill where diners can enjoy their meal amidst stunning fine art.
